The Extreme South Ultramarathon is an ultramarathon done in the longest beach in the world, with 226 km and is to be run in a maximum time of 54 hours. Its positive difference of 130 meters is indicative of how long that coastal plain is in the extreme south of Brazil.
Throughout this distance we will have 6 support bases, on average every 36 km.
In this horizontal abyss, in the land of the many, the sand is compact and allows for almost always safe and fast running. In some cases, the streams – small water lines – that flow into the sea from the Mangueira Lagoon, can become huge challenges if it has rained heavily in the previous days or even on the day itself. In some cases they can be deep and waist-deep.

The extreme south of Brazil is a place of climatic extremes.
