La mezza maratona delle Due Perle si svolge in uno dei scenari più suggestivi al mondo, da un lato il rumore del mare, dall’altra parte il verde dei pini del monte di Portofino, con viste mozzafiato, come il passaggio all' Abbazia della Cervara, alla Baia di Paraggi, alla piazzetta di Portofino e il meraviglioso arrivo nei giardini a mare di Santa Margherita Ligure.
Il tracciato è pianeggiante con curve interessanti e leggerissimi dislivelli che lo rendono ancora più tecnico, partenza ed arrivo a Santa Margherita Ligure con giro di boa in piazzetta a Portofino.
La Mezza Maratona internazionale delle due perle ha nel suo albo d’oro i principali interpreti della maratona Italiana: Stefano Baldini, Giacomo Leone, Ottavio Andriani, Daniele Meucci, Ruggero Pertile, Dennis Curzi, Daniele Caimmi, Stefano La Rosa, Migidio Bourifa e nel campo femminile Bruna Genovese, Ornella Ferrara, Valeria Straneo, Emma Quaglia, Gloria Mancini.
