It includes a marathon, a half marathon and a 10k race, all of which have been measured and certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The event has also been accepted by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), and every year the number of participants is increasing, with local runners from Chile and international athletes from abroad. The Santiago Marathon has become the largest marathon in the region.
