What is the Age-Graded (WMA) Percentage?
The Age-Graded percentage is a statistical system developed by World Masters Athletics (WMA) to compare runner performances regardless of age and gender. Your time is compared to the world record for your specific category. A score of 100% represents a World Record. 90% is World Class, 80% is National Class, 70% is Regional Class, and 60% is Local Class.
FAQ
The formula is: (World Standard Time for your age and gender / Your finish time) * 100.
Generally, anything above 60% is considered good for a local runner. Reaching 70% places you at the top of regional rankings, and 80% indicates a national-level athlete.
