The event courses are flat, easy running. They each offer a unique mix of running terrain, with a combination of running on-road and hard-packed limestone through orchards and past vineyards.

The courses take in the highlights of the Hawke's Bay region which include running along the waterfront in Napier, along the Hawke's Bay Cycle Trails and quiet country roads.

The finish line for all events is set in the gorgeous surroundings of Elephant Hill Estate & Winery.

Prize money will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall Men and Women runners across the finish line. 1st - $3,000, 2nd - $1,500, 3rd - $750. The prize money will be based on participants gun time.

All New Zealand Sotheby's International Realty Marathon finishers will receive a Finisher Medal. Non-monetary prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing in each running age group category for Men and Women, and will be based on participants mat time.
